Dear All,
I am in the process of putting a Tamil bookshop on the net which will help people buy works which are not easily available elsewhere.
I wish to know if there are any specific preferences among the Tamil literati as to which books they'd like to see on the shelves.
Thanks

Hello There,I noted the queries on old British comic characters reprinted in your country. If you
are trying to find information on characters I can probably help. I'm a historian/artist/writer of British comics and if you have an illo of a character you can send as an e-mail attachment I can identify and give info.
Regards to All,
Terry

Hello There! I'm very interested in comics from around the World and particularly how British
comics are published in other countries. Can anyone tell me about Muthu Comics (are they still available?) or other comics/companies -is anyone
still publishing comics in Tamil?
Can I answer your query about British characters such as the STEEL CLAW,ROBOT ARCHIE,KELLY'S EYE,
etc. (blacktowercg@hotmail.com)? Let me know. I'll
eagerly await your replies!
Kind Regards,
Terry Hooper

Hello.
Uh,I thought Damya was responding to my mailing but all the sites cited are openly quite hostile to religious sects. Is this allowed as in the
West this is prohibited on websites.
I would SERIOUSLY like to hear back from people with an interest in comics so far I've had offers of membership onto sex sites,anti-religious material and so on. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE someone
out there must be able to help?
Regards,
Terry.

Terry,
Here are two threads that discuss Muthu comics:
This one is an old archived thread:
http://forumhub.com/tlit/20648.03.46.30.html
This is the currently ongoing discussion thread:
http://forumhub.com/tlit/24320.18.24.43.html
The editor of Muthu comics himself posts regularly to these threads. Also click on the "old responses" link at the top to go to the previous pages of the thread.

I have tried Kik's suggestion of Hinuonline to find out about comics in India but found nothing:
can you tell me more?
Also,I would like to start a discussion and PLEASE
I would like to hear from as many of you as possible as I write/draw/Edit and package comics
so I do value YOUR opinions.
Firstly,is there a place in Indian comics for super heroes or horror stories?
Secondly;does the idea of a team/group of heroes
sound better to you than, say, strips with just one
character?
Thirdly;would you like to see a blend of Sci-fi/horror/mythology and super heroes?
Fourthly, and this one I have no idea about so YOU can help me! There must -MUST- be good Indian comic book artists out there, professional OR amateur;does anyone know such people? Do they have websites?
Fifth, and final:I know of Muthu/Lion and Diamond comics but what other companies exist -I've heard of Rani but can find NO information.
I think that Indian comics DO have a lot to offer but there are no major comic discussion forums to promote comics or artists (Singapore has Singapore Comics Online and the Filipines has Pinoy Komiks).
Come on;there MUST be a lot of interest out there so let's give Indian comics and promoters a big boost!
Regards to All,
Terry
