Vairamuthu has the backing of DMK. They have projected him to be a very great poet, even better than kannadasan. However there are many poets who are much better than Vairamuthu. Since they do not get enough publicity & backing, they are sidelined.

Vairamuththu is one of the GREAT poets the Tamil world ever had. Kannadasan is from one era and Vairamuththu is from another era. Comparing two people from two different period is the height of 'stupidity' I've ever seen. But what more can we expect from a "CLOWN" like Anand :-))

How could a state governtment or DMK can help winning 5 national awards if VM's talents are not exceptional? But I know what bothers Anand so much. It is the ugly fact that Vairamuthu does not wear a thread across his shoulders like Anand does. And that VM does not say Sandhyavandhanam every morning like Anand does. Well, What to do Anand? ;=)))))

It is a shame that U have brought in your anti brahmin feelings here. By the same argument, I can say that since vairamuthu is a NB, U are supporting him. This argument is endless.
Brahmins are fools? Is that why U NBs are hiding behind reservations? If U have the guts, get the better of brahmins by competing in open competition.
