For delight "mana kiLarchi" will be better than 'magizhchchi'. Magizhchchi is just happiness. It will be properly written as 'manakkiLarchi'.

The light that never dims. = 'Thoondaatha viLakku' has been used for ages by Tamils as in Thiruarutpaa
'Thoodaatha maniviLakkaai thulangugindra theivam'
'mana kiLarchi' is a little too long and 'kiLarchi' means excitement not delight. 'magizhchi' is better, but normally used for happiness.

inbam - pleasure, bliss
poorippu - rejoice, satisfaction, cheer, exhileration
kaLippu - joy, gladness, delight
magizhchi - joy, gladness, delight, pleasure
uvagai - joy, gladness, delight

I think w.h has not mentioned anything about a lamp. w.h has mentioned only the "light". So I think 'viLakku' should not be there in the translation at all.
So the right translation is "mangaadha oLi".
We can not say 'thooNdaadha oLi'
viLakkai thooNdallam.
oLiyai thooNda mudiyaadhu.
