The Tamil Information Centre cordially invites you and your family to attend
the launch of A Yesurasas's Tamil literary works collections in the UK on 4
August at 5.30 pm at Wembley High School. See attachment for further details.
Mr Yesurasa is a well known Tamil writer, literary and art critic. He was the
editor of the quarterly literary magazine ALAI for over ten years. He is also
the author of two books, "Ariyappadaathavarkal Ninaivaaka", a collection of
poems

Please find attached information on the Tamil Literary Weekend organised by
the Tamil Information Centre in partnership with Newham Libraries at
Stratford Library, The Grove, Stratford on Saturday & Sunday, 18-19 August
2001.
The event will be of interest particularly to second generation Tamil
children and their parents. Please forward this to others whom you think
would be interested.
As the numbers are limited, kindly inform us in time whether you will be

Mr. S. Sivathasan is a retired public servant from Sri Lanka. He hails from Jaffna. After a career in the Administrative Service spanning three decades, he held the post of Secretary of Ministry. Subsequently he was appointed as an Advisor to the President of SriLanka. He has also functioned as the Chairman of the Official Languages Commission.
At present he is Chairman of the Tamil Internet Steering Commitee of SriLanka and serves in the Executive Committee of SriLanka and serves in the Executive Committee of INFITT. He participated in the Tamil Internet conferences held in Chennai and Singapore.
He has been devoted to the study of Tamil and has delivered several lectures in Tamil on Thirukural over the SriLankan Radio. He has also published an article in English on Thirukural. As Vice President of the Colombo Kamban Kazhagam he has spoken on Kamba Ramanayanam at the Kamban Vizha in Colombo and Pondicherry.
