On another occassion, the SwamigaL sang a particular song very melodiously. Suddenly a voice from the audience cried out, "Once more." But the SwamigaL said, "No more", and continued with lecture.
The voice belonged to a powerful black magician. At being slighted like this, the black magician cast a spell upon the SwamigaL. Before the end of the performance, the hands of the SwamigaL swelled and he could not play his instrument, the Ekadhaarai. But the SwamigaL just continued with the performance.
The next day the magician was brought crying to the SwamigaL. His body was swollen his limbs were cramped and he was crying with excruciating pain.
The SwamigaL took a promise from him that he should never ever on any occassion cast that 'muunRu sulzi manthra' on anyone anymore.
When the magician had promised thus, the SwamigaL gave him Thiru niiRu. With that the symptoms disappeared and the magician went back.

One of his disciples in Chennai was starting to learn to play the violin.
One day, the SwamigaL told him to play a certain raagam. But the disciple said he does not even play the saraLi scale.
Upon this reply, the SwamigaL harshly shouted at him to play.
The disciple was startled and started playing it.
To the astonishment of everyone and to his own shock, he was playing the raagam very well and completed all the parts of the Raagam. From then onwards, he could play any raagam beautifully.
There were many miraculous happenings that took place in the families of his disciples like a much-wanted childbirth, etc.
On one occassion, the SwamigaL wanted to perform the Guru Puujai for Thirugnyana Sambandhar on his birth star. But the cooks did not turn up to prepare for the annadhaanam. Nevertheless the SwamigaL cooked single-handedly and served.
Amazingly everyone who turned up had enough to eat and there was still food left over after everyone had eaten.
But the SwamigaL had prepared limited food only for a limited number of persons.

In 1922, he compiled a set of Thiruppugalz songs for the performance of KOlaattam.
After that, he devised a series of lectures accompanied with Thiruppugalz songs on VaLLi ThirumaNam, which he delivered for a span of twenty days.
In the same year, the SwamigaL tried to attain samaadhi state for the second time. During that period, he was guarded by a Raaja Naagam. But one the seventh day, the disciples aroused him. He regreted that his samaadhi attempt failed again.
Divine will had not fructified at that time.

Sonn after, the SwamigaL started on a journey to all parts of Tamilnadu. He delivered lectures, sang beautiful hymns from Thiruppugalz and thus brought them to the attention of the multitudes who hitherfore had not had any inkling about even the existence of such a musical, philosophical, and esoteric treasure that is Thiruppugalz.
Thus he sperad the message of Thirupugalz and proved it to be a valuable instrument of Bhakthi Yoga Saadhanai.
His journey took him to many parts of Tamilnadu.
Among the places that he went to, were Thiruchendur, Viralimalai, and other Murugan sthalams.
In Koyilpatti, he defeated a mridhangga vidhvan who was too proud of his genius in playing mridhanggam. He sang a Thiruppugalz song, the thaaLam rhythm of which was unknown to the vidhvan. The vidhvan gave the SwamigaL a rare book on ThaaLa Saasthram which he had obtained as an award for his mastery over thaaLam rhythm. He also gave back the advance that he had taken for the performance.
The Thiruppugalz song involved was 'karugiyaRivagala' - No.899.
In KunRakkudi, the Thiruppugalz sessions were organised for one week by a DEvadasi who sent him to DevakOttai in her own luxurious ox-cart.
He travelled to all parts of Chettinad and reached Madurai.
Madurai which was a city of great scholars and which was known for its great scholasticity and academic merits was astounded by the beauty of Thiruppugalz and the renedering of the songs with their deep meanings. All the scholars were amazed by all this.

The SwamigaL visited many places of importance.
The travel was a trail-blazer. Because it was through this travel that Thiruppugalz became introduced to the world.
Many adherents to the SwamigaL became his disciples.
One among them was Thiruppugalz Kirushnaswamy Ayyar.
He took up the torch of Thiruppugalz and carried it far and wide.
The SwamigaL and his disciples established Thiruppugalz manRams, societies, kalzagams, sangams in many places.
They also organised the Thiruppugalz Thiruppadi Thiruvilza and conducted them every year in many places.
They held seminars, published Thiruppgalz editions and conducted lectures.
Thorugh all this Thiruppugalz reached the far corners.

There is an interesting thing.
One of the readers of this thread has downloaded the whole thread until now. He has taken the part dealing with Kandhar Shashti Kavacam proper and has compiled them. It comes to a total of 95 pages.
He has also separated Kandha PuraNam, AruNagiri nAdhar, RamaNar, and VaLLimalai SwamigaL Caridham and made them into separate sections.

Thiruppugalz SwamigaL did not have proper education in Tamil. He only picked up the rudiments of the language from a boy.
Thiruppugalz was a new found literature by itself.
Nobody hithrto had written any commentaries for it.
But SwamigaL analysed the rhythms, chandham, padhams, and gave their meanings.
Not only that.
He was able to give its esoteric meaning which is not apparant to supeficial reading.
This was a divine inspiration. The Lord Murugan Himself acted as the Guru.
'Guruvay Varuvaay aruLvaay GuhanE' were the final words of Arunagirinathar.
The SwamigaL's guru was Seshadri SwamigaL. But his ParamaGuru was Murugan.
