Thanks for the useful info ! (I am still trying to get my hands on ki.va.ja's out-of-print book...hope I can persuade Vedham to climb the attic, locate the book and send a copy thru Ananth !:-))
Did Manjari/thi.ja.ra encourage publication of 'marabu poems'... After all , should not publishing KVJ's articles demand that the magazine promote poems written according to yaappu? Did preaching and practice go together?
I heard a rumour that the present Manjari management wanted ILayavan to write "Murugadheepam" (about Kripanandhavaariyaar) as a puthukkavithai-thodar rather than in marabu-style! Obviously not the same management or time as when they published KVJ's articles?! :-))( I wonder if the magazine will do a revolutionary thing..and republish KVJ's articles?:-))

no no Ilaiyavan only wanted to write in pudukkavithaistyle, on 'Gandhi' in kalaimagal first. He finished it & it came successful. Many appreciated thodar. It is coming in a book form shortly by kalaimagal itself. as he was successful, he opted for Murugadeepam in the same style in manjari. It is also successful. From readers point of view. It was completed in Dec(present)- issue. See Variar photo on" mugappu' in dec manjari.(vedham)-(i know all full details from that editor.)-
