Summet might have that. My family sent me the mixie from Viveks, Jayanagar. So I presume that they will have. I can give you more details if you need.

I don't know how far this is true. Some of my friends have bought Sumeet mixie which is already transformed to US voltage from B're. They say they bought it from dealers of Sumeet in B're. Maybe you could check this out.

I got some useful information for u. In Chickpet, particularly in B.V.K Iyengar Road, there are many electrical shops (dealers of all these stuff). If you go there and choose whichever model you want, they convert it to US voltage in 24 hours. Hope this helps you find whatever you are looking for.

There are mixies that come with US voltage (without conversion). They are available in most places in Madras.
Sumeet can also be bought in the US for 150 dollars.

Sumeet in India will also supply you a mixie for USA if you ask for it. Any sumeet dealer in bangalore can get you a US volt version.
In the US:

My niece recently bought a mixie from Bangalore for use in US.
She got her mixie from Prakash Electricals (B V K Iyengar Road). They converted it to the US voltage for extra Rs.800. Hope this information is useful in buying it from Bangalore.

Hope this info is useful though late response

Bringing Kitchen Appliances from India might be cheaper, But there are risk involved, when you first plug the appliance, the motor might go dead , due to voltage fluctuation. Many of my friends had such bad experience.

We can get a transformer (something like a voltage stabiliser in size)for 110 to 220 volts conversion and use all Indian electrical items. Only that you may have to buy more than one or shift the transformer as reqd. This is good for using appliances we already have.
In case a new one has to be bought, then the warranty factor needs to be considered.

I read all the opinions about Sumeet.I used 'Three'Sumeet for 8 years. My opinion-don't buy sumeet mixie in your life.We can grind well inthat mixie for iddali, but only for one year(maximum),and the price is very high compare to other good quality mixie.Especially the clips and locks are very poor quality. After i came USA i bought osterizer.I didnt have any problem with that.Only the thing it doesnt have mini jar.But i got a suitable minijar from NJ.I am totally happy with that!!!!Please dont waste your money for Sumeet......

A word of caution to all of you who are getting 110 volts mixies from India. Please make sure that the 110 motor installed in the mixie is original equipment used by the manufacturers of the mixies. Otherwise, the warranty is void.

Inno Concepts has introduced InnoMix by Meenumix (the first mixie to get ISI in India) and the users are finding it very convenient. It is cheaper than the most 110V mixies sold in USA and comes with three year limited warranty for motor and one year for parts and labor against manufacturing defect. You can get more details at http://www.innoconcepts.com/meenumix.htm

Please please do not buy the sumeet.. I am kicking myself over and again for it. Buy a preeti or someother Indian brands, Sumeet has the worst quality accessories, hardest to clean and worst North American customer service.
From: Revathy (@ 188.8.131.52) on: Sat May 17 16:20:09 EDT 2003
The Asia Kitchen attachment jar in Sumeet is excellent -- in a few seconds you get very fine paste/powders. But the other jars/blades are not that good. Moreover, the motor in Sumeet heats up too soon & very often.
So after 5 years of Sumeet i've switched over to Preethi. The blades in all the jars are fixed; so no more hassles of changing blades. The motor is very powerful & you get the ISI guarantee too. Though it takes slightly longer than Sumeet to get fine pastes, it is a very sturdy mixie; & a huge relief, as far as cleaning is concerned.

I ahd a lot of problems with the Sumeet Servicing Center for North America, which is located in Canada.
I had ordered a jar and had to go through a big ordeal to get the money back when they did not send the jar after over six months. I think Sumeet is a good mixer, however with the poor service and the most unprofessional staff, I would never like to buy another Sumeet mixer. Is there another brand that is good for heavy duty grinding and also that has spare perts available and a company that provides good after sales service? Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Sumeet is the worst quality mixie you can buy on earth. I have two. Both broke down within 2 years. The second one was bought from Arti Premjee in Canada. This one broke the third time I used. The motor quit. No service center in USA. If you ship by UPS. You have to pay the bills for both directions. The motor is of very poor quality. Particularly never by from Canda from Mrs. Arti Premjee. She is selling products sitting on shelf for more than 10 yrs.

I was looking for a good mixie, with trouble free performance and highly durable.Reading these postings, and my sister also had a bad experience with sumeet, I made up my mind to buy Preethi Mixie.
I ordered online at distributors web site - http://www.perfectpeninsula.com
Now, I am using Preethi mixie for past 8 weeks.
I had excellent idli, dosa, coconut chutney ..
Here is the best of Preethi -
Unit looks beautiful and elegant
Trouble free performance
5 multiple size jars.
Size and shapes of the jars are so convenient - I simply love it !!
Jars are made out of good quality, sturdy (salem) stainless steel jars.
Loaded with good features like, Over load protector (OLC) switch, and DAYNA COOL motor, Keeps the motor cool even under tough or heavy use.
After using Preethi Mixie, I bought one for my sister as a gift. After she used Preethi. She praised me, for a wonderful gift !
My sister was not happy with her sumeet mixie, which lasted only for 8 months, and started to give more problems. She bought sumeet unit from Indiaplaza.com. but she was unhappy with sumeet performance and after sales service, who does not even have spareparts, though the unit has 3 year warranty. She felt she was cheated, for buying Sumeet :(
For any one, who is looking to buy mixie, I strongly recommend you to go for Preethi, the brand you can trust !
Preethi Distributors provide good customer service and after sales service.

My husband surprised me with a Summeet mixer for christmas 2 years ago, (after a lot of pestering on my part). I loved it and instantly cooked idly's, dahi wadas etc. until the novelty wore off (about 2 days). Then the unit stayed in storage for a couple of months. When I tried to re-use it, guess what it the blade would not turn even tho the motor was OK. Took it to the dealer in Edison and he claimed that the base tends to rust and needs to be cleaned and oiled etc. Something the customer obviously cannot do. I brought it home and used it once before it conked off again. The machine is great when it works ....WHEN it works which is rarely. I wouldn't buy it in the states since there is no way to fix it when it breaks down every day. My brother had the same experience with his machine.
