I would like to know which is the best atta flour or chapati flour in the USA?
A) Maya
B) Laxmi
C) Golden Temple
D) Swad
E) Nirav
F) Sujata (a new brand)
G) any other brand not listed above (please give name)

i would also like to know how incorporating soy flour works in the roti process?

golden temple in us. chapathies or parathas with other attas become hard .

Laxmi is good. because it doesn't have anything mix like maida or barn.

Sujatha (the new brand) is the best for soft, fluffy chapatis... They say on the pack that it is chakki fresh and that it contains no maida..It is almost like pilsbury.. i suggest all of u try it..

We use Bob's Red Mill 100%whole wheat flour with excellent results.Turns out soft and tasty.

i would like to suggest u all to seive atta before use...... as i just happened to seive and foundsmall worms in atta... and that too it was in laxmi atta.... i dont know what was the reason.....maybe outdated ...

I recently tried Sujata, and yes the rotis were fluffy and soft.
Laxmi was good too, I was using it till now, but rotis do turn out hard.
I hope Sujata atta does not have any maida.....
Let me know if thats the case.
