Thanks for your responses on Metaphorce. It's funny each of you liked a different stanza. Shiva, I see what you mean about the cheeks, I could've been more original there.
MPR,
I liked the water/freedom concept and I got the larger level implications without you having to explain it. Your poetry is strong enough to allude it, don't bother explaining it. I did enjoy the semantic discussion between you and Shiva.

Solid debut. Welcome to the poetry thread. I knew you were headed somewhere besides the obvious but couldn't guess it, so unlike Shiva, you did get me with your poem.
Ramji,
Great concept and even more so the colloquial language. We need more poems with regional flavor in diction. Care needs to be given to the ease and flow of the language like you have here. The style reminds me of "Paamaranin bagirangak kaditham" in its sarcasm.
