I like AC/DC, some Ozzy Osborne, some White Snake,
Deep Purple, Scorpions (They are not mostly hard rock) , Metallica etc. I dont consider Heavy metal is just noise. Some of the heavy metal songs have great melodies:-)

scorpions is my favourier group. they have sung some memorable songs like 'rock u like a hurricane', 'still loving u', 'bad boys running wild' etc. i like the voice of the singer, the tune (which is a rarity in most heavy metal songs) and the rhythm.

gokul metallica is no heavy metal you must not
lisen to heavy metal metallica is one of the
fist heavy metal bands ac/dc is note metal!!!!
ac/dc is for pussy's as for scorpions go
they are hard rock. as for heavy metal there
are death metal,goth metal,black metal not
noise unless it is grid you say you lisen to
music with rhythm all forms of metal have
rhythm and melodies you don't have an ear
for it ozzy is just as much metal as metallica
i myself have a goth/black/death metal band
we have more melodies in our music then the
bands you listed try to lisen to some other
bands you just mite find more rhythm and
melodies then you thank.

I do not think that Scorpions fall under heavy metal at all. Scorpions are normally called the " Rock-Balld" group....they do some good songs, but not heavy metal at all.

I have listened to them and they are amazing, but my contention is that they are not exactly heavy metal. If these people are heavy metal then what will you call Judas Priest, Iron maiden...
BTW, Iron maiden has regrouped with the original lineup and an extra guitarist. They are on a world tour and soon would be releasing their 12th albim....any listeners....

I think heavy metal is junk. It has bad influences and makes you think of bad things. I'm not sure what Marlyin Manson would be under, but he is rediculous! Anyone to be stupid enough to rip pages out of the Bible, and use the restroom on the stage & use the American Flag as if were Kleenex Cottenelle or something. I looked at some of Metallica's lyrics, and there was alot of foul language and stupid stuff in it. There are alot worse than Metallica, but it is bad enough! This has concluded by OPINION of heavy metal music!

the world's biggest metal group at present is 'placebo'. great songs and the best video ever for'pure morning'. listen to their break through song in england 'nancy boy'. yet again it takes the british to tell americans how good some of them are. eg..madonna, nirvana, johny depp, tarantino, clinton, dollars, superman, star wars.........i can go on.....

Heavy metal is 100% genuine GARBAGE! The sight of Marilyn Monroe, oops! I meant Marilyn Manson! The sight of Manson makes me want to puke! I'm sure 99.9% of you guys agree with me! All he does is "sing" about the evil, weird, and unusual things we humans don't even much care about, in this world! He should be put as an outcast in Americas society! We all know he is the ultimate evil in music, heavy metal itself has bad effects to whoever listens to it, all of it is about, killing, Satan, drugs, unusual sex, all of that garbage! Of course about 1% of what I said is just my opinion!

in my opinion scorpions are among the crappiest bands ever heard. their music is so lame that you can call them a pop band. if anyone out want to listen to some great stuff, try pantera, iron maiden,slayer,machine head to name a few. if anyone out there is not happy with what i have said please write back. thank you.

Anything is ok! Except for that naayaende magan, people call Marilyn Manson! I would take absolute pleasure in watching him suffer punishment, because he is the cause that makes teenagers to rampage in most school shootings, somebody like Manson, should be wiped of the face of the Earth, he is the society's worsest disease!! i don't c nowt wrong with mar' manson. i even gave 2 albums as presents to me sister who loves manson.
we have CHOISES to turn off what we don't like. manson appeals to a lot of 'disaffected' youngsters(esp..ynkeez)who need a positive outlet that they surely can't get listening to bloody SCORPIONS. imean mansonis NOW....post-modernist and post post-modernists. scorpions? yes...i rest my case. one good/fab record cover don't make a band although scorpions have stretched a chord and permed bo******s hair for 25(?) yrs.

You don't know whats wrong with Manson?? His lyrics speak of the Devil, evil, murder, sadistic sex, etc..... All of this affects the mind of one who listens to his trash, and the more the person is into it, he/she lives in a world full of gloom and darkness, because the mind is mutilated by his evil lyrics, I hope in his afterlife, that he will get the punishment he deserves, because this NAAYAENDE MAGAN, is corrupting a portion of the youth in society today, this explains the teenagers violent behavior!! Manson is not metal in any way.He is commercial fake imaged shock rocker.His music is CRAP.
And is not him to blame.. musical market needed a bad boy and they created one..putting him under 'metal'.It makes me puke.
Metal is, beside classical, jazz and some ambient stuff, superior form of music.It can be extremly possitive or extremly negative(bands like Deicide.. Singer Glen Benton, who has satanic cross burned in the forehead can eat poor manson for dinner) In short.. it can change your life like no other music can.White or dark side..the choice is yours.Its music created by speccial personalities who can throw all their emotion out in big way. Most of the musical artist from the past be it musicians or drawing artist were like that.
I was listening to classical music because i thought its the only music that can give you deep emotions, because i thought is the only music with actual quallity out there... until i've heard metal.You know the problem is..people who watch MTV and stuff like that will never heard true metal artists.Commerical musical market ignores them.True metal music is far from verse-chord-verse with nothing to say crap. Its art.Sure..there is a lot of crap in metal too..but this we can find in every musical generes. I've been exploring this genere for 12 years now and let me tell you there are musicians with huge musical potentions..but no one knows them..like Bach you know..in his lifetime.. he was underground.Now evrybody knows him and respects him.Strange..but this is how it goes.
I've been on www.grammy.com few minutes ago and..
well i had a good laugh seeing 'metal nominations'
which incluedes bands long dead or bands with creativity on zero or bands with nothing to say..like black sabbath..metallica.. or rob zombie(lol..typical American metal without soul).. there is only one interesting band nominated. Where are bands like Therion, Nightwish, Arcturus, Tiamat, Anathema...?? I know.. i wont see them nominated because their music is too deep to be understood by commercial crap consumers.
So..next time when you want to speak about how metal sux..having Manson and crap like that in mind.. try to listen to real metal instead,to albums like Therion - Vovin, Therion - Deggial, Therion - Theli (beautiful syphonic metal with classical orchestra and classical choirs..you thought metallica has done this first ..on S&M? Well wrong.. some bands have done this long time ago..Therion are doing it now and they are far supperior than Metallica attempt), Anathema - Judgement(depresive as depressive gets..it's not metal album..is rock/pop..but they were metal before and the felling was the same), My dying bride - Any album except 34.777% ..or whatever is it, Nightwish - Oceanborn( female singer who was once ophera solist), Arcturus - la masuqerade infernale (This is very very hard album to understand..but musical quallity speaks for itself)

Well, well, well, nice to see that there are souls with "wide spread minds". Ethernal, that was pretty much it what could be say about this topic. Nightwish might cause some suprise in near future, but that singer, she is just plain beatifull (I mean singing :-)). Have to agree about Mason, not my kind of "music", but, really no problem, if someone likes about it, then go for it. If I remember right, topic was about Heavy Metal, so not much about mentioned bands above "fall" on that group (I don't talk about Ethernal's list, don't know much about those bands...). For example, Iron Maiden, melodic moustly, maybe heavy, but definetly, one band which mixed up different styles and lyrics, like Samuel Taylor Coleridge's writings on Rime of the Ancients Mariner (and still make's difference). For example, if we look only titles of the song, then Iron Maiden would sound very strange. 666 number of the beast or Children of the Damned for example. But, ás you know, any human being, who has brains and uses them, can look deep under the surface....Not all, what looks like that, is like that, Mani and annie. Very basic form of every day live.

And one more add about Manson, Mani and Annie,
read trought that article, think it over and then let it go. Of course, you can dislike heavy metal, no offence, everybody got his/hers own taste, but one human/band doesn't present one branch of music at all. We don't live in dualistic world, if noticed.
