Hello Revathy!
An important aspect in making any salad is its quality ingredients, freshness and hygiene. Since the products are uncooked for the most part it is important to treat it with care.
You can buy the bottled dressing at the Grocers.
For the salad:
Tender Romaine lettuce - a bunch
herb or plain croutons - a handful
Fresh or grated parmesan cheese
Discard outer leaves and trim the brown parts and top edges. Break the lettuce leaves with hands and immerse in cold water for about 5 minutes. Remove the lettuce with hands carefully without agitating the water much. Discard water, there could be soil and other impurities settled at the bottom of the water. Place lettuce leaves in a salad spinner and rotate till all water is drained.
Remove the leaves and place it in a wooden or glass bowl. Metal bowls or spoons should not be used in preparing lettuce salads.
Add croutons, grated parmesan cheese. Toss with a wooden fork. Pour dressing over sparingly and toss again.
Serve immediately, garnished with a few croutons and grated parmesan cheese.
A good way of adding nutrients to it is using grilled chicken breast or shrimps.
If you are a vegetarian, buy dressing devoid of anchovies

Here is the real recipe for the dresing
Ingredients:
1 whole egg plus 1 yolk
1 Tablespoon minced anchovy
Just under 1 Tablespoon minced capers
1 Tablespoon garlic
1 Tablespoon mustard
Juice of 3/4 large lemon
Pinch of salt and pepper
2 cups vegetable oil
5 Tablespoons grated Parmesan (should be fresh)
Place whole egg and egg yolk in bowl of food processor and pulse to combine. Add anchovy and capers to the egg and blend until pale/light yellow and frothy. Add garlic and mustard; blend again. Add lemon juice and salt and pepper; blend again. With food processor running, pour in 1-12 cups of oil in a slow drizzle/stream. Add Parmesan, continue blending, and add the rest of the oil in a slow drizzle. Check consistency. If the dressing is too thick (like mayonnaise), add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, blending with each addition, until you reach the desired consistency.
