The majority of Hindus celebrate Birthday by cutting cake and blowing the candles placed on the cake. This i believe is largely influenced by the BRITISH influence on HINDUS disapora. However, by doing so the hindus are degrading themselves by blindly following the Western cultures. We Hindus believe that light be in any form is the manifestation of live. THEREFORE, therefore in every occassion we light up the Kuthuvalaki to denote enlightment and optimisim. This i believe is the basis of Hinduism. So to light up the candle and then to blow the flame is contrary to Hindus believe' This is amounting to say that the person life should be darken as the extinguishing of light is unspiritual ane denone negative influence.
