How to cook sausages without getting 'blisters' on the surface ; do they need to be boiled first before pan-frying them? Any recipes are also welcome .

I think it will be worst if you do that as the water trapped inside would 'explode'.

Gently fry them turning them every 2-3 mins for 30 to 35 mins. Keep warm and let rest fo 15 mins while you finish off.
I know it's time consuming but it's the best way... lovely caramalised sausage and no split skins.

I think that no matter if you cook them or fry them they will always split on the skin. While cooking the inside meat expands and doesn't have enough space inside so it splits the skin.
Does it really matter to you the way it looks? I mean it is still looking tasty to me...
