I would not credit the Turks with the invention of Baklava. Instead I would mention them for inventing human genocide. They were the first to perpertate it on the Armenians in 1915. These nomads from Asia usurped all from the people they concurred and that's how they made Baklava.

with Englishes and Dutchs.
You don't know what your are tolking about
During first world War , Turkey was in WAR
They killed Armenians as they killed Englishes and Italians, what F... are you talking about
Turkey has lost 5 millions of turks, can i say
it s a genocide? I don't think so..
Please dont mix every thing and forget your complexes

You ask a serious question and......? I believe genocide originated when the GENitals of the Turks came in contact with Greek pestiCIDE.What remained after the dust settled was spread evenly between layers of Pampas filo pastry et voilla !

To all you mindless, ignorant, wanna-be humans-like turds-oops! turks, your original culture was drinking horse milk and eating raw sheep guts of which you have even adopted a Greek word for the former ARYANO gr> AYRAN tur and a Persian one for the latter PECA frs> PACA tur.
The only thing the Turks have introduced to Asia Minor and to Europe was, dare I say it- the Turk.
Nowadays, the other nationalities of Europe have to put up with these backward Central-Asiatic culture-less nomads who think they invented everything in the region but have adopted everything which was indigenously Greek. Parading what they were taught as actually being invented by them-yeah right! I call this the 'TOPKAPI SYNDROME'. You all know the Topkapi complex, right?
Well, whilst Greek and other Balkan intellectuals were actually running the mercantile affairs of the ottoman empire and the Janissaries(Balkan boys, mainly Greeks kidnapped by turks used as soldiers) who fought their wars, the turks in the Topkapi Complex were getting high smoking weed and inhaling the fumes of their own farts, in their state of delusion, they forgot what they conquered had already pre-existed.
On a serious note, those of you who are interested in knowing, Baklava was invented by the Greeks over 2000 years ago called KOPTOS. Now, the confusion lies in the word itself, Baklava which the turks having infested Europe for centuries now, have spread the term Baklava which is actually of Persian derivation, which the Arabs have borrowed this term baklawa. The majority of turkish words are actually of Greek and Persian derivation, especially when dealing with culture. Most turkish foods are poor corruptions of the original Greek names or sometimes Persian translations are preferred.

Turks suck. Baclava is 100% greek. How could nomads who only know how to kill invent food?
- From: Telling it how it is (@ 144.138.141.135)

To all whom this may concern,
I would strongly suggest that in future people use the term 'KOPTOS' instead of baklava, especially in Academic works. This is not to promote Hellenism directly, but rather credit the Greeks with what they have actually invented. Nowadays, with false super-marketing ploys, companies are more interested in making money rather than affording products their real place of origin.
Consider this: the false marketing of "Turkish Delight", which is actually not Turkish at all, but rather another Greek invention that has been stolen; coming ORIGINALLY from the island of SYROS of which all the ingredients needed to produce this sweet come from nearby.
So to all Greeks, use proper Greek terms for your own food, so as people wanting to learn about it, learn correctly. Do not follow the ignorant path prepared ingeniously to mislead, by promoting the incorrect Turkish translations and make you think that just because a Turkish word has been used to describe something, it is actually Turkish.
