I am looking for a Walter Mathau movie (old) where he is a coach for girls ball team. He pats one little girl on the back side to indicate "good job" which made little girls mother furious. Mathau's son and his wife are embarrassed & has him committed to a nursing home or mental institution under pressure from the mother and others in the small town who thought him to be a sex offender or mentally ill.

The only time I saw my wife laugh out was when she saw Walter matthau sucking the jam out of a donut through a straw.
