sathya Im a almodovar fan..i have seen almost all of his films. My favorite is 'women on the verge of nervous breakdown'.
Most of his films are crude but they are very interesting.
'labrynth of passion' was a bold film for 80s and it was really funny to watch Antonio Banderas in a
completely different role.
'Law of desire'was like a typical hindi masala movie.
'Kika'was outrageous so was 'tie me up tie me down'.

Well,
I have just started to watch Almodvar's films and I have decided he is the greatest Director!! I love his films. I have watched only two, but soon will watch all of them. I definitely believe his message gets across in every film. His movies have impacted my life so much. I thank God for allowing so great talent to be expressed in such ways.

Hey, I´m from Denmark, and in this moment I am writing about Pedro, in my graduation project. He first got my attetion in 1999 with "Todo sobro mi madre" and since then I've seen many of his movies. He is the new hit since Garcia Lorca, Salavador Dalí and luis Buñuel. Amazing how that country just keeps coming up with a new world class artist!!!

I watched 'all about my mother'(Todo sobro mi madre)yesterday. An excellent movie from Almodovar. It was less schoking(compared to his other movies) and relatively realistic.
Cecilai roth did a great job as a single mother losing her teenage son in an accident. The pain she shows in her face when each time she remembers her son esteban was very natural. I dont know why she wasnt nominated in the best actress category.

hey Celeste,I agree that he(Almodavar) is the new sensation and also feel that he embodies the tradition of making people aware of society's many evils through jest as garcia did.
Definitely not for all tastes but nevertheless an acute talent who finally deserved the recognition he got with the oscars.
I study Films and his films throw such a beautiful change to the stuff we watch,he is different without trying to be.He sets standards for outrageousness and and all the films who try to ape his style end up being pretentious as they lack the soul of a madman,whos poetry oozes madness and that cannot be imitated!

I am a Spanish professor in Chicago and a big fan of Almodóvar. I use his films in my Spanish classes to teach the language and intensive writing. My students have to write essays about the themes, symbols, and characters in his films. I have become addicted myself to these films, and I would really like to act in one of them. I love the way he embeds other films into his own and the messages that his films convey. Me encanta la mezcla de comicidad, ironía, intertextualidad, y dramatismo. Espero con mucha anticipación la próxima peli. ¿Qué decís vosotros?
