any indepth french film resources perchance?? I'm looking for an old film in english subtitles about a handsome leading actor who plays a member of a small virtually bankrupt circus who is talked into competing as the "world's last great(est?) lover" (or something very close) contest held and run by a snobby powerful editor in chief of a leading magazine/TV show/media of some kind. the contestants have to have a romantic dinner with models in front of audiences, dance, etc... EVEN ONE REDICULOUS SCENE WHERE THE LAST 2 FINALISTS HAVE TO PULL DOWN THEIR shorts and let the judges view their 'manhood' (film's camera angle shows booty only ;-) who is selfish and power hungry control freak until as the winner of the contest he gets to choose whomever he wants to spend 2 weeks with him (her intent was one of the models participating in contest), naturally, he chooses her against her will on live TV thus she cant get out of it... it includes some nudity and sex scenes americans would refer to as 'soft porn', though really just typical french openness in cinema...
films a bit cheesy but I have very fond memories of the romance and her of course giving up all her power and fame etc in the end to ride off down a beautiful snow covered lane in the country in back of pikup truk with the 'greatest lover' in love with circus to next town!!

Any ideas appreciated...
