I don't know much about him. Let me share what I know. He is a great musicologist and couple of years ago he has published two albums for kids, collection of songs and stories based on carnatic ragas in the title 'Thyaga Bharathi'. During my last visit to Madras, I bought this for my daughter, which is an instant hit in my family.

I was under the impression that Shri Sadagopan became a "sanyasi" and faded away from public life. Would anybody direct me as to where I can get the tapes of his songs 1)Enthaveduko O' Raghava 2) Villinai Oththa Puruvam 3) Partha Sarathi Nannu Palimpa Radha. ....Thanks

Sri V.V.Sadagopan was born in Veeravanallur near Kallidaikurichi in Tirunelveli District. Though earlier he took to acting in pictures, later days he devoted much of his time to carnatic music. Some of his relatives may be traced in Veeravanallur. One of his hit films was 'Madanakamarajan' in which he acted with KLV Vasantha. Later, i came to know that he moved to Delhi where hewas leading somwhat a secluded life. He was a graduate and had an imposing personality. MGR makes a reference to VVS in his autobiography 'Naan En Piranthen' which was serialised in Ananda Vikatan.
