will someone explain the statement that MD was influenced by drupad.If so where all and how?

On my site www.sitar.co.uk you can listen to Z M Dagar playing Rudre Vina the bass lute of the drupad tradition. His brother is a fine drupad singer. On the open directory page:

You will find more links to drupad music. It is the most ancient of the the surviving forms of indian classical music
