Are there any websites that allows downloading of carnatic songs. My net connection is very congested and I am not able to listen to songs that some websites offer. I would like to download to my hard disk or to a CD. MP3 format preferable.

dear shri satyamoorthy, reg chanting of lalitha sahasranamam there is no restriction. anybody can do parayanam. i m o, it shd b ensured that there is no pada chethanam . akshara suddham and sabda sukham shd b there. goddess will never punish anybody for not reciting it properly. god bless u.

As Balakrishna mentions:One and all can recite the Lalitha Sahasranamam.
Lalitha Sahasranamam can be chanted in two different ways. One in Stotra form and the other in mantra form. In Stotram form, all 1,000 namams are separated into stotrams of a few namams each and recited in this way. In mantra form, each namam is said individually, preceded by "Aum" and followed by "Namah". When chanted in mantra form, the endings of each namam are generally changed to "e" or "yai". Mantra form is commonly used to recite Lalitha Sahasranamam during archana. Both ways, however, are equally effective.

Hi all please go to www.coolgoose.com... its a very good site, u get all sort of things, more than going my categories, just search what u need u will get it. search with "lalitha" in the music search u will find it... u have to become a member to download songs, but its a free membership... its a good site with a looooot of collection. Also search "Skantha" u should get that also... For carnatic song people search carnatic u should get about 40 songs also u can search using the names like unnikrishnan and ... u will get a good collection here...
