Today we hear over Radio or read from News Papers of "Tamil" Music Festivals, the programes are said to be "Karnatic" Music, and what is actually sung is "Telugu" Keerthanas !!!
Will the exponents of Tamil Music and other's versed on this subject explain as to why this situation remains so in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere, for the benefit of all those interested in knowing same.
What happend to Sir Annamalai Chettiar's Thamil Issai Iyyakkam.

TAMIL ISAI SANGGAM IN CHENNAI HAVE TO IMPROVE THEIR PROGREM. THEY ARE VERY BUSSY MAKING MONEY BY HAVING LIGHT MUSIC PROGREM IN THEIR HALL. THIS MUST BE CHANGE THEY MUST HAVE KARNATIC PROGREM.THEY ALSO MUST ASK ALL THE VITUVAN TO MAKE KARNATIC KACCERY IN THE RAJA ANANAMALAI HALL BY THE SAME TIME THEY ALSO MUST ASK ALL THE VITTUVANS TO SING TAMIL KRITI'S ONLY. FROM THIS WE CAN GET MORE TAMIL SONG.

Dear Sivamathi,
Thank you for your response, but I stress all the leading Tamil Nadu - Tamil Issai Arignars (Vidvans), and Issai Kalaignars, should always call or refer to Tamil Classical Music as "Tamil Issai" and a concert as "Tamil Issai Villa" and not a Carnatic Music or Carnatic Music Festival, the word "Carnatic" should be completely got rid of.
Further they should always sing "Tamil Issai Padalhal" and not Telugu Keethanas at festivals. No one is against Telegu Keethanas, but then it should be called as "Telugu Music Festival" and not as Tamil Issai Villa.
High time all the so called Carnatic Musicians, Instrumental Musicians of TamilNadu and World over paid some thought and revive the traditional Tamil Music with Tamil Padalhal.
In this instance I wish all of us recollect the Film "Sindhi Bhairavi" by the great Film Director Balachandar,in which his own words on Tamil Music "very firmely and impressively" spoken by the leading and talented Actress Suhashini.
My salutations to both of them for spreading the message through this Film that, "No one can appreciate any Music which is not in their own mother tongue"
The Sir Raja Annamala Chettiar's Tamil Issai Iyyakam, and the Tamil Issai Sangam at Paris Corner, Chennai should be supported by every Tamil of Tamil Nadu, to help them bring forth to the modern world the glories of the past Issaith Thamil of Sangam fame, not simply the light Music programs.
