Here are a samples of few items of information that have been found from the internet ,or have been told to me orI must have read .I would like to know the correct statements from the wrong .Also I would like to know if netters have other intersting items to offer.(They may be completely unrelated)
1.Tyagaraja ,MD and SS never net each other though they lived in the same village
2.Td ,MD and SS have had a deep influence on each other and they were constantly in praise for each other
3.MD and SS would spend long evenings discussing ICM .SS was also a great admirer of T and sent his son to T for training
4.SS son went to T only when SS died because he had no GURU
5.MD's brother BD was very profecient in Violin and Md and BD would give duets .
6.BD had just started learning violin and so Md composed some notes like rajivalochana for him to play
7.Now one story regarding invention of tabla.
two mridangam players (name was mentioned in the book -but i have forgotten) were constanly competing with each other. After a lon percussion Dual when one lost he threw the Mridangam down in disgust.Later he realized his mistake and he wanted to fix it up.But as he could not stick it up as one he made two pieces and thus was born the Tabla. He later invented a novel Style of playing.
Folks
I promiser I am not making this up.
I would like to know if you guys are aware of other stories/legends.
Bye

Hi
I haveheard of MD's profieciency in violin. He was familiar with the western notes (by virtue of court-connection of then king, subjugated to Brithish rule?) so,as a challenge or curiosity he composed few pieces. one of them survive as
western note(cc.thillana moganambal movie and some times from kunnakudi too).
