Both of them are Pinakapani's Sishyas. Smt Gopalrathnam is a Vainaka as well.

I am really surprised to see that you did not recognize Srimathi Srirangam Gopalarathnam, since you seem to be very knowledgeable in the music circle. Her rendition of "Aparathamu" in the Raga Lathangi was very famous.
I am still waiting for some response.

Srirangam Gopalarathnam has an HMV label LP record album on Annamacharya Krithis. I have not seen any other recordings by Smt Gopalarathnam.

PPN, I think I may have seen a cassette tape version of these Annamacharya krities by SG. I think one of them is a kriti Alamel Manga Nee Abhinavarupam ( maybe in S'Bharanam ?? ) I could still be deluded, though.

I think you are correct, Diwakar. There was also a kriti Evvaderugunu ( in Mohana ?? ) or some thing like that. Please confirm if possible.

You are right. The SG collection on Annamacharya has Alamrel manga, Nalamba (Brindavanasaranga), Evvaru (Mohanam) etc. It is a very delightful recording.

PPN, MRF, The TTD chaps have made a big business out of this Annamacharya. Both SG and VV appear along with NedunuriK and many playback artistes in one of their collections that I surfed around to find.

Hello folks, I am new to this thread or for that matter any thread that's carnatic music related. I have two questions: Has anybody found the recordings of Smt. Srirangam Gopalarathnam and Voletti subsequent to initial postings. I had a few rare ones of Voletti, which I had given to some of my friends, who conveniently forgot (I also forgot, who I gave them to!). In one of them Voletti has sung Varali with such a creativity - unbelievable! (hmm.. pazhann kanavAi pOnathe!)
2nd. Do you guys know which thread tracks the current concert schedule of TNS and where his reviews are being posted? I have written a review of his Bay Area concert in California (Tamizh Isai concert). I want to post it to wider audience if there one particular TNS specific thread that everybody reads.
