Thanks for the response although I was interested in finding festivals throughout India of which none were mentioned on this page.

Dear Cary,
I can mention of two festivals which are patronized by not only locals but foreigners.They are a feast for the ears and are well known.
One is the Savai Gandharva festival in Pune which is presently on from 7-9 December 2000.This is generally held in the first week of December every year.Another is the Saptak festival in Ahmedabad which begins on 1 January and goes on till 12 January at Kashiram Agrawal Hall every year where stalwarts in Indian classical music perform for a select audience.The latter can be contacted at Saptak School of Music,C/o Vidhyanagar High School,Usmanpura,Ahmedabad 380 014 Gujarat,India

I didnt get what Nadopasaka wants.Anyway you can write to Mr. Nandan Mehta a well known tabla exponent and Managing trustee of Saptak.Saptak is a wellknown name in music circles.By select audience I meant that the entry is through invitation only.All the greats of classical music like to perform at this festival.
