I just listened to the Kiravani krithi (thyagarajar) --Kalikiyunte katha kalgunu by a VERY FAMOUS YESTERYEAR ARTIST !!

The diction at the charanam "Paadhuga Sri Raghu Ramu Nee Paadhamula bakthi...." is quite different and honestly I was taken aback to listen to such a rendering for the first time.

Artist sings "Paadhuga" (Holy Sandals --I guess , if i may translate literally, bear with me) as Baadhuga (Baa as in Baageshwari instead of Paa as in Paarthen)--is this rendition correct?

I have listened to this song by others singing as Paadhuga..for instance late Prof.John Higgings has given a recording with Paadhuga usage.

If indeed that's correct and if Sri.John Higgins could sing it with correct diction (not any comaprison but just being from a foreign land and ins spite of all the difficulties of learning a new language/ art ), why not a artist from our own land?!!

It would be great if some one could post the entire song with meaning.

Thanks in advance...
