The amount of voilence that happening among indian youths are increasing tremendously and the amount of education preference among them is decreasing. They are easily influenced by indian media's which regularly promotes movies which contains extreme voilence in them. And they usually choose to end thier studies at G.C.E level or maybe lower. Youths are the one who is going to put the standing of our society and they are the one who going to decide where we will stand. Are we forever going to be third class citizens?Did our ancestors gained us freedom to waste it?What method of life that our people think enough for them..cukup makan? I'm not condemning our people, our people have the brains and brawns but why waste it?

Well, Indians are to blamed themselves. It is all in your mind. if u want u can do it. I am really pissed off when police who usually don't stop cars that drove by indians but now we are the target. Why this is the case? Indians too get shot if he stands in wrong place at wrong time. Why all this happening. Look back about 20 years ago, sentul was the center of gangsterism in KL but the kind of gangterism is sort of robin hood type. Even today this so called "robin hood ganster" do get respect from all of us. They sort of protecting certain areas from intruders. Take care of the girls in the area and etc. Just check the statistic of rape cases about 30 years ago. It is certainly very low. Why because of these 'robin hoods"
What is happening now Indian gangster with ultimate motive of taking over from the chinese. Whom to blame? The community, nation or one himself???? I believe it is all from oneself. Out greed robbery is taking place. Not only that murders too take place. If one is not responsible than who to blame.
Ladies and gentlement, every indian in this country must realize that oportunity do not came in a silver plate rather we have to look for the oportunity. If Malaysia do have oportunity, than one cannot survive anywhere he goes.
Realization is key to eradicate the gangstrism. We can have 1001 seminars, speeches and etc. but without relization, we can't achieve anythng, Who is suppose to tell the gansters? I am very sure every gangster in the country is looking for oportunity is redeem his fault.

What you are saying is just sweeping the rubbish beneath the carpet.
The type of realisation that you are propounding is not going to take place.
Seminars would not help, if profitteering is the prime motive.
Malaysian Tamil motivators are mere entrepreuners of the hard cor type.
They are not worried about the results. As long as they make a fat profit.
But goal-oriented seminars with public good as the objective always has given good results.
Have heard of SINDA in Singapore?

Mr.Apalaroa,
What is SINDA? Anyway I believe that if there is a problem there is a way to solve the problem. Political will is one of them such as providing a blanket pardon for all gangsters and come forward to a chat with leaders such as with Datuk Seri Samivelu. I believe he has the capability to bring back the Indians to the right path. Let say if Datuk Samivelu call the gansters in malaysia for a forum in PWTC. What will be the outcome? I guess we may be able to solve some problems. The thing is we are sweeping the dirt under the carpet. We know the problem and immediate solution need to be found. Are we doing it? There fore no ordinary seminars going to solve this problem. Probably Samivelu is the right person because he is the cult figure in the community. Do anyone knows Datuk Samivelu's email add. I sure would like to mail this suggestion to him. You all too probably should do.
Bye

Malaysian Indians are notoriginal Tamils. They are kalinga's (north andhra people). At the time of 2nd World war these Kaling's were having Telugu schools here. After indipendence Tamil Muslims got power in this country. So hindu Tamils are not real Tamils like in India. These Kalinga's were made forcefully Tamils. Thier nature is still violance. So My dear freinds dont treat Malaysian Indians as Tamils. How can Tamils behave like this ? these Indians are sham to India ? They feel themselves like Rajani Kanth .

many types of Telugus are there. They fight each other. Hate each other. Even kill each other if we see Andhra. People are very dangerous than any other state. for 5 paise they fight with conductor sometimes they will kill the conductor. I travelled Andhra it was fearious.
1) Telanga - Hyderabad region
2) Andhra - Vijayawada region
3) Rayalaseema - Tirupati region (K'rayas area)
4) Kalinga - Vizak region
5) Konaseema - Godavari region
Two years I worked there in Andhra now Im here in Malaysia. Many other castes like Reddys, Varmas, Naidus, Rayudus, Banjaras, Yadavs, balijas, gougas, velamas and kapus who are by birth gangsters as far as I studied. Among Malaysian Indians only Srilaka tamils are in better state. Anada Krishna himself felt shame beeing Indian in this country. I think Vanniars also might have come from Telugus bcoz of thier nature. The gangsters in malaysia are I believe strongly must be from Telugu back ground.

I belive the only way is to educate these youths. Sorry to say this, that most or almost all of them are Tamils.
The following might help in reducing these problem.
a) send your children to schools where there is a good miture of other races
b) make sure you know where your your children are at all times
c) stop watching Tamil movies
d) parents themselves should be educated in the upbringing of thier children
e) stpo your children from mingeling with the" O Pohdu" people
f) stop your children from getting out of the house after 7 pm.
g)get your children to pray
h) finally our community leaders should follow up with educating the community and it should me once in a life time, which is sadly the case and this happens near the election time

it is become common to see so many malay teachers in the secondary schools. Most of them arelazy, hardly had mastered their own subject(eg physics, maths, chem etc). They only concern about their pay and always looking forward to get MC .They love to get pregnant They are not bothered about students education. There are so many socalled "english teachers" who are teaching in the school. Many of these malay english teachers who have a good command in english.

This is a very good forum. I support Mr Kilroy with his suggestions for indians to a better life styles. I believe that we are becoming more like the 3rd world ancestors back in india. We have to know something, we are not indians as to indian citizens. We have no relation whatsoever to india. If someone tells you to go back to where you came from, I can bet that 95% of all malaysian indians would not know where to go. This dismisses our relationship to Indian indians. So what i would like to tell our Malaysian indians is that, be a malaysian indian. Stop watching indian movies, they do no good in bringing up our malaysians. Stop being a copycat, we are no Rajini Kanth, we are malaysians and I believe we have our own personality. We could achieve all the things that everybody thought at one time impossible.
We had peer pressure from the community in malaysia, where the estate workers have started migrating to big cities to lead a better life. See, nobody forced them, they realised what is good for them and their children. So, what I'm saying is simple, we need revolutionary changes in indian community. We need to take measures to outcome our problems. First of all, ban all tamil movies. Start educating our children to become better human beings. The whole process may take a generation to furtile. But its better to start now then never. Adding to Mr Kilroy's suggestions are mine here:
- Always buy houses in a good neighbourhood. Don't go for cheap houses which yields bad influences to our children. Our children are our hope.
- Always make sure to keep an eye on who your kid is mingling with.
- Good school is optional. But to make the kid to sit and study is the parents obligation. Again, do not watch TV, when your kids are studying this is for the parents. Always make sure you are following his academic progress in school.
- Parents should have discipline in all subjects. Do not spank kids, correct them with love.
- Invest on your children for a better life. Not on extra house. Houses may make your life easier when you are old. But we are united in curbing the problems we indians are facing (ie: social illness). The investment is definitely not for you (parents). The investment is for your kids for their life in the future.
I would like to share something to every parent in Malaysia. I'm the only son in my family. My parents (especially my mother), she always says, that all the investment she does on me is worthless, as someday I will neglect her in her old age. I have no intention to neglect her or my dad. I knew that she loves me very much as much as I love her, its just that she does not want to let me go. I would like to tell malaysian parents that with implementing all the suggestions, there are chances that your son or daughter will not live with you forever, as once they are educated, they will not live in the place you want them to be. They will choose somewhat a better place to lead their life. PARENTS PLEASE LET THEM GO! They will love you till the end. They will send you money, but they would not be with you physically. You can't have everything.
Finnaly I would like to bring a topic that would be a little disturbing to many of you. Who are we in malaysia? We are malaysians. HUH. What are the previliges that we are enjoying for being malaysians. I have no clue. I'm not saying the government is not good or anything like that. The political issues are something that i have no intention to interfere. All i want is : "malaysians wake up". We have to bring up our community. Its in our hands.
