richard bach may not be a typical guide. but in his very subtle ways he nonetheless teaches us to explore the various potentials inherent in each one of us! so, how could anyone overlook this virtue? i am an ardent fan of his and am proud to be so!

Richard Bach is a wonderful person! Yes, I have even met him in person. I am the one that introduced him to ferrets! Yes he now has 10 ferrets and is now writing about ferrets: I was one of many of the lucky ones that got to meet him at the Oregon Ferret Show last month. I even got my picture taken with him as he signed my books! Today there was an article in the Seattle Times about his books (Air Ferret Aloft and Rescue Ferrets at sea.) He has many books coming out in his "Ferret Chroncles".
I have to admit when he called me a couple of years ago, I didn't realize that the Richard Bach I was talkiing to was the same Richard Bach that wrote Johnthan Livingston Seagull. He wanted to know where he could get ferrets from a breeder of course, I knew a breeder and that began his new life, with Ferrets to keep him company along with his wonderful wife Sabrina. He lives in Washington State. So if you ever see a sea plane with ferrets looking out the window, you may be looing up at Richard Bach!

I first read a book by Richard Bach when I was fifteen. It was a battered copy of Illusions that my mother had picked up at a yard sale. I will not say that reading this book altered my life, but it did have a profound impact on how I chose to approach the world and people around me. It is also a book that I have never been able to keep a copy of for longer than three months. Though I chose the people I suggest the book to carefully, when I do I lend them my copy and it never comes back.:) This is alright because, I have been taught that books serve a purpose in this world. They bring ideas to life. They bring meaning to actions and glory to intuition. They are not meant to be hoarded. Anyway, this was a rather long winded way of saying that Richard Bach's books have served and will continue to serve their purpose. They are the manifestations of ideas that come from a thoughtful, clever and infinitely playful mind. However, it would be a disservice to Richard Bach to place him on a pedestal above us when he has worked so hard to live and interact with the world around himself. I am delighted to have found a wedsite full of people who have seen the possibilities that imagination and ideas open to us from reading his books. I think that perhaps this is the form of flattery that Richard Bach would find most meaningful. Also, thank you for the information about his new books on ferrets. I look forward to reading them.

I am new to this website and found the site because I was wondering if there was any possibility of contacting Richard Bach. I saw some information about how to contact him on the back cover of Running from Safety but that did not work. anyway, I am pleased that there are others who share their jot of his work on line. I own and have read 11 of his books but was unaware of the "Ferret" books. I also was unaware that he is now remarried - I hope Leslie Parrish is still well. I am a huge fan of Mr. Bach's and have had held many of his same thoughts and beliefs all my life, even before reading his work. I teacher many years ago suggested that I read Illusions and after that I became hooked. Jonathan is obviously one of my favorites but "Bridge" seemed almost autobiographical to me (about MY life). If anyone ever knows of a place where he may be doing a book signing I would love to just meet the man some time in my life. I know I cannot hope to discuss life issues with him since cannot possibly have the time for all his supporters but to meet him would be a thrill. Best wishes to all of you and may God continue to bless Mr. Bach.

I have read both Illusions and Jonathan Livingston Seagull and loved them both. I don’t claim to understand completely how things work in this world but I do know that even when we try to understand the full meaning it’s very hard not to fall back into the natural existence we have become accustomed to. Richard Bach, a very brilliant writer indeed, is no different than any one of you or me. If you read Illusions, think about the message. Belief in a messiah is only for those who need to find faith somewhere outside themselves.

I first read Bach about 10 years back. Ever since I have tried improving aspects of my life that I wasn't happy with. I never believed earlier that it was in me to change what I didn't like, Bach gave me the confidence that I can do it. I'm a better person today because of his books, and I'm still changing and discovering new things about myself.
I still remember it took me a lot of time to understand what Bach meant when he wrote - "We have the capability in us to change anything we don't like in our lives, including our past". It took me some time, and I think I have been able to do that, changed my perspective on instances from the past which made me uncomfortable. I'm a better person because of it.

hi im donaldshimoda or maby im not but if im not him maby your not you maby its all just a big conspiracy in this game we take so seriously called life but what is life is it a bunch or parol dimensions consisting or thought engery and matter what is life someday we shal all see someday. i seem to think we are all here for a reason to live and have fun do as we please the reason we dont rember past lifes is because then we wouldent want to live after a while if you do something over and over and over it gets booring we do rember the inportant things the things that we have taken life times to learn the things that were fun or not so fun yet it takes time to see that. i was hopeing to met richardbach or talk to him if you know his email can you tell me i would like talk to him i a fan you might say
